Airspace Asia Pacific 2025

Airspace Asia Pacific 2025 made its debut in Hong Kong, marking the first time the long-established Airspace World expanded beyond Europe to Asia. The event leveraged Hong Kong’s position as one of the world’s fastest-growing aviation markets and the region’s leading airspace management hub.

Held from 9–11 December at AsiaWorld-Expo, the event convened more than 2,000 air traffic management leaders from 100-plus countries and regions to explore breakthrough technologies, regulatory developments and operational advancements shaping the future of aviation.

With a slate of high-level sessions, expert panels and exhibitions from industry leading companies such as Thales, Aireon and Indra Group, the event served as a crucial platform for air navigation service providers, regulators and tech firms to drive airspace modernisation and forge partnerships.

Hong Kong’s position as a leading aviation hub was ideal for furthering future-shaping discussions that drive airspace innovation – from digitalisation to AI, collaborative management of shared airspace and sustainable airspace solutions. The event has reinforced Hong Kong’s dual role as a premier MICE destination and Asia’s aviation innovation hub, aligning with the city’s vision to lead in aviation and smart mobility.

Hong Kong is strategically located – a perfect place to bring the aviation industry together. This conference is bringing together vendors from throughout the Asia Pacific region, as well as air traffic control service providers, to the hub of Hong Kong to discuss all of the challenges and opportunities for the fastest-growing region for aviation in the world. We realised that this was a great decision and it was a great success. Hong Kong really stands as a shining example of advanced technology and accommodating so much new approaches to how we improve aviation safety and efficiency.

Hong Kong is an amazing place, it's where East meets West, and a place that is easy to travel to with a long tradition of aviation business. It's the right place to gather companies from all over the world to demonstrate new technologies, and Hong Kong will remain a leader in aviation. Hong Kong has a privileged situation with an innovative spirit combined with good universities and education. Hong Kong is the gateway for business in the Greater Bay Area.

There are many factors that make Hong Kong an ideal location. Its leadership position in aviation is unparallelled. It's a hub in Asia – easy to get to and a jumping-off point to other countries in Asia. Hong Kong is a perfect partner as we look to expand in the Asia Pacific market. There's a real appetite for future technology, willingness to take risk around adopting technology to make operations more efficient and safer. It's one of my favourite cities to travel to.
